Personal Info: Jay grew up playing soccer on the streets and beaches of Bulgaria. His fondest soccer memory is staying up late at night when Bulgaria reached the World Cup semi-final in 1994. Jay started coaching soon after he had an ACL reconstruction as a way to stay involved with soccer while recovering from his surgery. His passion for teaching soccer in a fun and different way was heavily influenced by A.C Perugia coaching staff. When he’s not coaching or working on the Team Evanston website, Jay spends his free time playing soccer, watching soccer and reading about soccer. "The best part of coaching is seeing the players you’ve worked with 2 or 3 years down the road and how much progress and development they’ve made."
