Fall 2010 Practice Schedules

Fall Practice Schedule

Dear Team Evanston Parents & Players,

I am taking time to write to all of you regarding this season’s master training schedule. It has come to my attention that many players have conflicts because of religious classes, dance classes, and other important extracurricular commitments. Team Evanston will continue to support parents and their children’s endeavors, but we as a club must ask that parents also support and understand our training schedule as well.

We have grown, and will continue to grow, for the better of soccer and for the better of all Team Evanston players. And with that comes the training schedule that has been distributed to all families and is available on our website. We have worked very hard to provide a schedule that allows our players to maximize their potential while also providing them enough rest during the week to be at their best. We have moved to a pool style of training where age groups train together to provide a more competitive environment while maximizing our coaching resources. As a result, the master training schedule has been determined by the Assistant Director of Coaching, J.J. Ruane, and me for all Boys’ and Girls’ teams throughout the season.

It has not been easy to offer as many opportunities to practice, but we are confident that this schedule is best for the development of this club. As with anything new, we expect there to be some bumps in the road. I must be firm in saying that we cannot stray from our current training schedule. However, if there are conflicts, I urge you to work with your coaches to sort out an arrangement (such as attending another team’s practice time) to ensure that all players are getting their training sessions in every week.

Yours in Soccer, Issac Moushi
