Congratulations to Team Evanston’s Boys U11 Orange team for going undefeated and winning the 2011 FC Milwaukee Winter Invitational, March 4-6, in Brookfield, WI.

On their way to the Championship, the U11 Boys tallied dominant victories over FC Milwaukee (10-2); Kickers MG Mavericks (9-1); and Whitefish Bay U11 Blue (8-2) before a tough rematch against the host club that resulted in a 6-3 victory for Team Evanston.  A special shout of thanks and recognition are owed to Coach Jay Bulev who led his Boys U11 Orange team and his Girls U10 Orange team to their respective Championship games.

In addition to their outstanding play on the field, the boys and their families enjoyed a fun weekend with each other as well as with the players and families from Team Evanston’s Girls U10 Orange and Boys U14 Premier squads.  All of the players represented the club in spectacular fashion on-and-off the field. 

The Boys U11 Orange team will finish off their indoor season this weekend before continuing their play in the NISL Classic-North division this spring.  

This tournament title gives Team Evanston its second tournament champion this month as the Boys U15 Premier recently won the Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup.  Let’s keep the momentum going!!
